What every mother wants to know is that all of the loving and nurturing, instructing and guiding, crying and suffering that they did over the years (and would do again) ~ was enough to equip their children to survive in this world, and to thrive in the next!

Even those moms that can sincerely acknowledge: "I did my best" ~ may sometimes find themselves wondering: "But was that good enough!" Was her best good enough to get you, her children, to do and achieve your best? Well, if you are an adult son or daughter still asking that question, then you still have some growing up to do.

Whether you as an adult achieve at your best ability today is entirely up to YOU. Whether Mom (or Dad) got most things right or most things wrong, achieving at your highest ability is still the greatest gift you can leave them.

You may not be making six figures or be the CEO of a company, but if you are a man or woman of character, faith, and charity, with compassion for others, then you are doing well ~ and Momma's got a lot for which to be proud. But if you are not there yet, don't get discouraged. After all, this IS the woman that loved you back when all you did was yell, scream, eat and mess in your pants!

Father in heaven; bless the mothers who show us what your love is really like ~ and love the mothers who never had anyone to show it to them. Amen!
