The Annual Saints of Africa Celebration sponsored by the Archdiocese of Washington will be held on the first Saturday in June. This year, St. Augustine Parish will be hosting this exciting event. The multi-lingual Mass honoring African Martyrs and the Six Black American Catholics whose cause for sainthood has officially commenced and progressed will be followed by a luncheon and a brief program in the St. Augustine room. The program will showcase presentations by some of the students at Saint Augustine Catholic School. ALL are invited to join us for this celebration which highlights the early presence of the Church in Africa and the HEROIC WITNESS to the Gospel by Her sons and daughters of the continent.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday June 3rd, beginning with worship and praise in the church at 12:30, followed by Mass at 1pm followed by luncheon.
